I grew up in the state of Maine where even the cities have a small town feel and most families are pretty close-knit. Mine was no exception. Growing up in this kind of environment really helped me develop an empathic sensitivity towards those around me. However, like many who grew up the way I did, the desire to explore beyond my small town roots led me across the country, once it was time for college, to the city of Springfield, Missouri. I did a little bit of everything there. I was a minister, a teacher, and I even tried my hand at counseling. While all of those professions helped shape me, none of them quite fit me. On the other hand, they did help broaden my perspective of what a helper can be outside the limits of the boxes they each tried to fit me in. In fact, they each inspired me in different ways to help people through the art of acting. So my journey as an actor began, and has now led me back to the great state of Maine.
